Amazing Benefits Of Tulsi | Beat the pollution and This plant is filled with lots of helath benefits

Good morning everyone and welcome once again
to a Wacky Wednesday. Today I am standing in the courtyard of one
of the oldest temples of Singapore You guessed it right it is “Srinivas Perumal temple”. This temple was founded in 1885 and declared
as a National Monument in 1978. This temple is dedicated to “Lord Vishnu”
the protector of the Universe. And you must be wondering why I am so decked
up today? Well I am celebrating the Diwali. Surprised? Yes I’m celebrating “Dev Diwali”. The “Diwali of the Gods”. We all celebrate the four days of the “Choti”
and the “Badi Diwali” but we forget the “Dev Diwali” these days. The hallmark of this day of “Dev Diwali” is
“Tulsi Vivaha” it is the “Vivaha” of this beautiful plant Tulsi with Lord Krishna. There is a beautiful story surrounding it
and you all can read it at leisure on the internet, but today I am going to tell you
why I think this wedding happens. This wedding happens because “Vishnu the protector”
“Krishna the protector” would love to marry this beautiful little plant because she takes
care of humanity his human naughty children. That’s right. You see during Diwali we are “compelled”
to burst firecrackers right? even though we know that our asthamatic children are going
to suffer from it even though we know our lovely pets are going to be terrified it even
though we know there’s lots of pollution in the environment, we still love to burst firecrackers
during the Diwali. “Diwali Damaka”. So the pollution levels increase and this
lovely tree lovingly and forgivingly says okay so now that you all have increased the
pollution level let me absorb all these gases, toxic. Gases so she absorbs carbon monoxide, carbon
dioxide, sulfur dioxide she even absorbs heavy metals and do you know she even protects you
from radiation. So those of you who are undergoing any radiation
treatment don’t forget to chew on at least two tulasi leaves and then you can grind it
and put it the area which has been burned by radiation. She’s forgiving, lovely and cool’s you down,
yes she’s a great Anti stressor .She releases those enzymes which to reduce the stress need
I say that she reduces blood pressure then. She also works on the beta cells in the pancreas
and therefore helps reduce blood sugars. It was “World Diabetes Day” in last week and
we have done a special “Wacky Wednesday” on that don’t forget to watch that too. You so Tulsi Leaves have Antibacterial Antiviral
and Antipyretic properties, so when the weather changes which changes too often in Singapore
and the rain comes and along with that comes the Flu and the high temperatures Juice of
the Tulsi have it with honey it will help you also we brew it in your healthy Thulsi
Tea or and the Sinus headache attacks and you get this awful head congestion boil Tulsi
in water and simply inhale it’s essential oils it will push the sinus headache far away. Tulsi also helps in renal colic, the colic
caused by kidney stones not only that the seeds of Tulsi, theTulsi beej as we call them
on which we have also done a Wacky Wednesday about Sabja… please watch that…is a coolant,
it helps to beat the summer heat also it alkaline urine and therefore helps prevent urine infection. Now then you see the Seeds, the leaves, even
the roots and the stems of the to Tulsi plant are medicinal. Now tell me such a forgiving loving mother
we have in this little perennial shrub wouldn’t the Lord the protector of the universe want
to marry her. Not only that Tulsi, grows beautifully in
an equatorial or a tropical climate all it needs is a lot of sunshine, lot of water and
tender loving care bakthi the if you’re if I’m allowed to say. But then you’ll see also grows widely that
seeds just dispersed by wind and wherever it finds moisture and sunlight and a little
bit of love it’s simple grows. Few decades back Mumbai had a movement called
“Tulsi Lagav Pradushan Bhagav” that means “Plant the Tulsi and chase the Pollution away”
so Tulsi saplings were gifted to people in Mumbai to grow in their apartments, to grow
in their balconies, to grow wherever they wanted to. Actually in ancient India every Indian household
had a “Tulsi Brindavan” the one that we were just standing be along in India courtyard
and the lady of the house would pour water to the to Tulsi and make a periambulation
around her. Now do you see in just a simple act she was
inhaling the medicinal properties of this plant not only that this plant keeps mosquitoes
away and it ever the mosquitoes were to bite and we are to get Dengue or malaria this plant
even helps in that. The Juice of Tulsi taken during malaria and
dengue helps recover fast. So as we are fighting the more mozzie menance
let us grow more Tulsi. Taj Mahal the monument of love built in pure
marble recently had started turning yellow because of the acid rain caused by the industrial
pollution now the authorities were working with the factories to reduce the pollutants
but in the meantime a botanist and a geologist came up with the brilliant idea they gifted
20,000 thousand, Tulsi saplings to the residents around the Taj mehal and also planted a lot
of Tulsi plants in the Taj Mahal Gardens within a year the yellowing of the Taj Mahal had
started reducing now do you see how beautiful this Tulsi plant is really like a mother taking
care of the environment taking care of our health, taking care even of our stresses. Isn’t she a beautiful mother wouldn’t you
want to plant her in your home. Do plant her and be healthy, be happy Namaste.
