talk to you in this new series which we have started. You ask the questions and we’ll
answer you. What’s the best time to do Cardio? A lot of people ask us that they wish to lose
weight and fat from the body so what’s the best time to workout or what’s the best
time to do cardio? Keep this in mind that whenever you wish to lose weight diet plays
a very important role. If you do not follow a proper diet plan it does not matter at what
time you work out it will not affect you. The diet amounts to 70 to 75 percent of your
work out. It does not mean that you have to eat nothing at all. You need to take certain amount of calories. We have created a lot of talk shows on this. You need a certain
amount of calories per day. Divide it into smaller portions and assign it to the whole
day. Throughout the day you have to eat small portions and that’s how you lose weight.
When it comes to work out as a beginner, never do work out early in the morning on an empty
stomach. Although, an expert advice would suggest that you should work out on an empty
stomach early morning. Which is very right. However, we suggest based on experience. There
is a difference between theory and practical. As per the theory, to work with an empty stomach
on an early morning would mean that since you haven’t eaten anything and your glycogen
is completely depleted you burn your stored fats. But as a beginner, who have never worked
out or have just begun and you weigh around 200 pounds or 80 to 90 kilos; be it a girl
or a boy, the first thing you need to do is that you need to eat! Unless and until you
are conditioned, you work out on an empty stomach and you will start throwing up. Because if you haven’t worked out before and you have started working out then your body, your stored
glycogen or sugar or insulin will deplete extremely fast. You must have heard those
who say that when we work out we feel dizzy. It is because imbalacing of the electrolytes.
Your salts, potassium and sugar for example vary up and down and then you are going to
start throwing up. So it has no advantage. Within 10 minutes you’ll get tired and sit.
In a week your enthusiasm will fade and as a consequence you will go back to watching
movies on Netflix and lay back. So in a right way, or with a right notion what I want to
guide you is that do not work out empty stomach in the morning. Unless you have been exercising
for 5 to 6 months then you should workout on an empty stomach but as the beginner what’s
the best time to do cardio somewhere in the middle of the day or post work out. Never
do it before the work out. If you’ll do it before the work out; suppose if you arrive
at the gym and do cardio for at least 20 to 25 minutes followed by the weight training
for an hour, it does not benefit at all. Because the first 20 to 25 minutes are crucial. So, rather, put as much effort as you can in growing your muscles, Either you are a girl or a boy. Put effort
in growing your muscles. Then the time that is left, when your muscles are exhausted and
your body is tired, then do cardio. Because when you arrive fresh, it’s very easy for
you to run 15, 20 or 30 minutes on a treadmill or elliptical but when you have done weight
training your body is completely exhausted and drained. Doing cardio afterwards would
benefit you in this way that your heart rate will stay higher regardless because you have
burned certain amount of calories and that you have burned certain amount of muscle and
have drained certain amount of energy from your body. So the best time to do cardio is
always post work. Always do it post work out. And best time, one aspect is when that is
before or after the work out, but if you wish to know at what time, then when your stomach
is full, do it an hour or two later. For example, if you get up at 7 and have your breakfast
at 7:30 or 8:00. Do cardio at around 11:00 or 12:00 for weight loss. Same goes for the,
I recommend do weight training followed by cardio. Adjust your schedule. Never do it
on an empty stomach if you are a beginner. But if you have been working out for 2 to
3 months, Hell Yeah! You should do it on the empty stomach, you are good. Conditioning
is very important, like I said in the beginning that if you are not properly conditioned you
will not be able to do more than 10 to 15 minutes. You’ll start throwing up. Imbalancing
of the electrolytes. Glycogen stored are completely depleted you won’t be able to push much.

  7. Thanks for this video. My trainer says to do cardio in the beginning and not in the end for some stupid reasons. I will continue doing it in the end after weight training. Also, he always advices to avoid treadmill but i love doing sprint. He says knee mein problem ho jani hai baad mein. Please guide if 20 mins of sprint on treadmill is fine. Thanks
