Hi it’s Sharon at BonVie Weight Loss & Nutritional
Wellness. Do you remember our previous series about the Ideal Protein methodology we use
at BonVie Weight loss & Nutritional Wellness? Well we are back on this topic again because
we get asked so frequently to explain the different phases of the Ideal Protein method.
If you missed the previous, check them out on this BonVie YouTube channel – and hit
that subscribe button now for easy access to all our weight loss success videos. So
let’s look at how you lose body fat, and, maintain your new figure and vigor, during
the Four Phases of the Ideal Protein method. In a nutshell, Phase 1 and 2 are active weight
loss phases of the program; the 3rd phase is the critical transition phase and the 4th
is a closely monitored maintenance or lifestyle phase. Each phase involves eating fewer of
our high– biologically-available Ideal Protein foods and more of your own.
Phase 1 is followed until you reach 90-100% of your goal weight and includes 3 Ideal Protein
meals and snacks per day. For example, perhaps you have an Ideal Protein oatmeal for breakfast,
your own small mid morning snack of veggies or an egg; lunch might be a salad with vegetables
and protein; then you enjoy an afternoon snack of a yummy Ideal Protein bar or shake, or
something crunchy and spicy like our salt and vinegar, or BBQ chips or Trail Mix. And
for dinner, from day one, you are eating your own healthy protein and veggies. If you eat
dinner early, then in the evening, you will enjoy a treat like an Ideal Protein pudding,
or chocolate wafer, or Chocolate Caramel Mud Cake. With over 60 selections, our dieters
don’t bored with the food selection. Phase 2 is followed for 1-2 weeks only and
teaches you how to incorporate sufficient natural protein on your own. You replace one
of your Ideal Protein meals or snacks with your own food.
Phase 3 is followed for 1-2 weeks only and reintroduces carbohydrates (sugars) to the
pancreas. In Phase 3 you have your own breakfast (or an Ideal Protein Total meal replacement
shake or a yummy Toffee Pretzel bar), your own lunch and dinner, and one Ideal Protein
snack. We have you systematically add back carbs/sugars to have a healthy insulin response.
Phase 2 and 3 are the most critical parts of the program. They are like your insurance
policy to not regain your hard earned fat loss. Phase 4 is the maintenance phase. By
now you have changed your eating behaviors and will find that you desire foods which
keep your insulin and weight loss in check. You do not need to eat any Ideal Protein foods
in Phase 4 – though most us still eat some for breakfast or snacks – they are delicious,
low carb, high protein, satisfying – and super convenient. We do ask our dieters to commit
to a monthly check-in, to insure that your weight never goes up more than 4 pounds without
a correction back to your ideal weight and fat percentage. If you would like to know
more, call now and we’ll answer all your questions about how to most successfully lose
weight.
