The Hunger Games – Character Theme Songs

The Hunger Games – Character Theme Songs

She’s a pistol, pointed at me
Smoking from her head to her feet Packing the heat
She’s lethal, with a license to kill Stilettos ripping open the street
She’s a heartbreaker, like a masterpiece But she’d be looking even better with me
She’s the baddest girl I ever seen Be careful making wishes in the dark, dark
Can’t be sure when they’ve hit their mark And besides in the mean, meantime
I’m just dreaming of tearing you apart I’m in the de-details with the devil
So now the world can never get me on my level I’m a put-on-a-show kinda girl
Don’t like the backseat, gotta be first I’m like the ringleader, I call the shots
I’m like a firecracker, I make it hot When I put on a show
I feel the adrenaline moving through my veins I tried so hard and got so far
But in the end, it doesn’t even matter I had to fall to lose it all
But in the end, it doesn’t even matter I will follow him
Follow him wherever he may go There isn’t an ocean too deep A mountain so high it can keep me away
I must follow him I’ve always felt a feeling we would die young
Some die young, some die young Some, some die young
But you better hold on Na-na-na that that don’t kill me
Can only make me stronger I need you to hurry up now
‘Cause I can’t wait much longer I know I got to be right now
‘Cause I can’t get much wronger Man, I’ve been waitin’ all night now
That’s how long I’ve been on ya You can break everything I am
Like I’m made of glass, like I’m made of paper Go on and try to tear me down
I will be rising from the ground, like a skyscraper You’re thirsty I’ll be rain
You get hurt I’ll take your pain I know you don’t believe it
But I said it and I still mean it When you heard what I told you
When you get worried I’ll be your soldier You see her when you close your eyes
Maybe one day you’ll understand why everything you touch surely dies But you only need the light
When it’s burning low Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go I want to break free, I want to break free
I want to break free from your lies You’re so self-satisfied, I don’t need you
I’ve got to break free I’ll be watching you
Every single day, and every word you say Every game you play, every night you stay
I’ll be watching you When darkness comes
And pain is all around Like a bridge over troubled water
I would lay me down I watched you die, I heard you cry
Every night in your sleep I was so young you should have known
better than to lean on me You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You’ll be alright, no one can hurt you now Come morning light
You and I’ll be safe I can understand how you’d be so confused
I don’t envy you I’m a little bit of everything
All rolled into one I’m a bitch, I’m a lover
I’m a child, I’m a mother I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I do not feel ashamed Sun is cold and rain is hard
I know, been that way for all my time ‘Til forever, on it goes
Through the circle, fast and slow I know, it can’t stop, I wonder And I wanna be, retro glamour, Hollywood
Yes, we live for the fame (fame) Doin’ it for the fame (fame)
Cause we wanna live the life Of the rich and famous
Fame (fame), doin’ if for the fame (fame) ‘Cause we got a taste for champagne
And endless fortune Strike the match, play it loud
Giving love to the world We’ll be raising our hands
Shining up to the sky ‘Cause we got the fire, fire, fire
Yeah, we got the fire, fire, fire And we gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn
We gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn I ain’t gonna be just a face in the crowd You’re gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud It’s my life, it’s now or never But I ain’t gonna life forever
I just want to live while I’m alive What makes me happy, fills me up with glee
Those bones in my jaw, that don’t have a flaw My shiny teeth and me My shiny teeth that twinkle
Just like the stars in space My shiny teeth that sparkle
Adding beauty to my face When you’re out there, without care
Yeah, I was out of touch But it wasn’t because I didn’t know enough
I just knew too much Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy? You can throw your hands up
You can beat the clock You can move a mountain, you can break rocks
You can be a master, don’t wait for luck Dedicate yourself and you gon’ find yourself Standing in the hall of fame
And the world’s gonna know your name It’s a charmed life, unexplainable grace
Stumbling, you’ll fall right into place It’s a childlike world
And you can feel the magic Far from the typically tragic
That’s the beauty of a charmed life But oh, my heart was flawed
I knew my weakness So hold my hand
Consign me not to darkness He’ll take your life as admission
Give new through television Let the best man win
It’s the chance of your life Let the game begin
Start rollin’ the dice I know you
I walked with you once upon a dream I know you
That look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam

  1. evertime I read of or see President Snow Mumford&Sons Snake eyes comes to my mind: "it's in the eyes, I can tell you will always be danger."

  2. MY SHINY TEETH AND ME. Oh god yes. XDDD

Still don't see the relevance of Claudius', but it's hard to pick songs for such minor characters we don't know much about.

  3. Great choices for the songs! But Prim's…meh. Safe And Sound was released for The Hunger Games. It's the second song of three played during the credits and in the video Taylor Swift is meant to be the ghost of Prim wandering around the ruins of District 12. That's the only reason I don't agree with the song (obviously the lyrics match her perfectly). Great job, though. 😊

  4. MARVELS SONG!!! FALL OUT BOY!!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  5. Letter to Katniss:

    Dear Katniss,

    Hi. It's all okay here.

    Prim is safe with me.

Her and Rue are best friends.

    Cato and Clove got married.

    Finnick still likes sugar cubes.

    Your Dad.

  6. I prefer Womanizer for Cray because he lures women in District 12 who doesn't have any money to sell their bodies.

  7. I don't understand why you put Mrs. Mellark, but not Madge. In the books, Madge was one of Katniss' good friends. How come she never gets any goddamn recognition?!

  8. Actually, Foxface's song does make sense, because in the movie she follows Peeta for the majority of the duration of the Games.

  9. I think rues song should have been safe and sound because in the book when katniss walks away from rues dead body a mocking flys down onto a branch and sings her song and katniss says yes shes SAFE AND SOUND we dont have to worry about her. see

  10. Dear Pops, Catis is safe and sound in a hospital bed on 55 mg of zyprexa ( 3x human should consume)and the Party is hopping with Police getting $100 an hour to enjoy the eye candy…Brother in Hawaii then rubbing noses with Nancy Polloie who's taking horny female hormones to stay Forever Young. 🙂 still chopping hair and still an insane asshole I am.Love You.

  11. Cato- Perfect Theme Song, Because He Came So Far But In The End, It Didn't Even Matter

FoxFace- Perfect Theme Song, Because He Kept Following Peeta Throughout The Games.

  12. For Katniss- Wild Things by Alessia Cara

People always use Girl on Fire, which is super obvious. But Wild Things fits her mindset, especially in the third book.

  13. OMG I love your song choices soooo much. When I saw u picked Skyscraper for Katniss I totally freaked cuz I always listening to it and I'm like 'Oh this would be perfect for Katniss' and you are the first person I've ever seen do it!!!
BTW fitting song for Gale too
    Also, I love Queen!

  14. It's frustrating how people always use Safe and Sound for Prim. I the books, Prim is becoming more and more independent and she contributes in the war and helping Katniss with her emotions when Katniss is about to shatter, while in the films she is portrayed as unimportant really. Prim is true hero
